Infrastructure development of AMATA Smart & Eco City Natuey is set to commence later this year, covering an initial 410-hectare area in phase one. AMATA announced the groundbreaking of a new industrial city in January 2022, marking the company’s first project in Laos, after AMATA City Laos Company Limited signed a joint agreement with the government of Laos PDR.
In August 2022, AMATA revealed its second industrial city in the Oudomxay province, known as AMATA Smart & Eco City Namor, encompassing a total area of 3,150 hectares.
Collectively, AMATA has the potential to expand to up to 200 square kilometers (20,000 hectares) and at full capacity, it could potentially attract Foreign Direct Investment worth more than USD1 billion.
During the cooperation agreement signing ceremony, Group Chairman Mr. Vikrom Kromadit said “I extend my sincere gratitude to Dr. Rak Vorrakitpokatorn and the executives of EXIM Thailand for supporting AMATA Group in its expansion to Laos, where AMATA has initiated the development of a smart and eco city. Over the past 30 years, AMATA has accumulated a wealth of experience in industrial estate development in Thailand and the region, accommodating more than 1,400 industrial and commercial tenants, and generating job opportunities for over 340,000 people. We will leverage this valuable experience to develop Laos’ foremost industrial park.”
All of AMATA’s projects are developed within a sustainability framework and in alignment with the company’s business philosophy of “All Win”. The company is committed to conducting business in a manner that gives equal importance to the economy, society, and the environment, for the collective benefit.
AMATA plans to invite global organizations from the public and private sectors, such as Yokohama Industrial City, to participate in the project and collaboratively promote AMATA Smart & Eco City Natuey to potential investors.
