AFS’s services are provided in strict compliance of the laws of Thailand and are operated according to the standards of environmental management under ISO14001.
In 2007, Amata Facility Service established an Amata Transfer Station (ATS) in Amata City Chonburi to collect and process all solid waste for all companies operating in Amata.
At Amata City Rayong, AFS works with a professional waste management provider.
Amata only collects non-hazardous waste, general waste, e.g., waste from offices or canteens. During Covid-19 pandemic, AFS offered infectious waste management in cooperation with a professional infectious-waste handling company.
Amata Corporation and Siam Cement Group (SCG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop and implement “Koom Kah Smart Manifest,” a digital application that will enhance Amata's smart waste collection system. The MOU was signed in 2020.
SCG’s application provides a holistic tool for streamlining waste bank management while simplifying planning and logistics, thus enabling better waste management at the source. Customers can check the waste processing lifecycle in real time, from starting point to disposal. It promotes transparency and confidence in Amata’s waste management, and it promotes sustainable recycling practices, in line with Amata's concept of Circular Economy.
