Amata Castle is a magnificent sandstone architectural landmark, created by Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, the founder of Amata Corporation Public Company Limited and the Amata Foundation.
Situated at the heart of a golf course and surrounded by the country’s largest industrial city, Amata City Industrial Estate, Chonburi, Thailand. More than just a stunning and unique piece of architecture, it aspires to be a future center for fostering creativity and preserving Asian culture.
The primary purpose of Amata Castle is to serve as a venue for showcasing the works of artists from across Asia, aiming to support the exhibition of artworks and preserve local cultural heritage. Additionally, it functions as a space for hosting events, conferences, and social activities for partners, all on a non-profit basis.
The design of Amata Castle was inspired by Mr. Vikrom’s dream, drawing influence from the art of the ancient Suvarnabhumi civilization (*) and the natural beauty of seashells, symbolizing boundless creative energy. The castle’s exterior features a stone structure nestled amidst mountains, surrounded by lush greenery and water sources.
Currently, Amata Castle is not open to the public for general viewing, but we are delighted to welcome visitors for the company’s 50th-anniversary celebration, offering a rare opportunity to experience the beauty of this architectural masterpiece up close.
(*) "Suvarnabhumi" is a Sanskrit term that translates to "Land of Gold" or "Golden Land." It has been historically used to refer to various regions in Southeast Asia, including parts of present-day Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Malaysia. The name reflects the region's rich cultural and economic significance.
